Toby Fox's Undertale project stands out among role-playing games due to its colorful graphics and elements inherent in scrolling shooters. The game tells the story of a little boy who finds himself in an unreal, fantasy world. Falling into the network of dungeons, he will encounter extraterrestrial monsters that do not always need to be destroyed. It is worth making a lot of effort to make friends with them and attract them to your squad.

Features of the project:
At first, it may seem that the gameplay is quite standard, and is a classic PRG of Japanese projects. The character walks around colorful locations and enters into dialogues with other heroes, periodically becoming a participant in battles. But, not everything is as simple as it turned out, it is not necessary to destroy everyone indiscriminately. Peaceful resolution of situations is welcome here, and a positive outcome is generously rewarded. A lot of different ways to avoid conflict have been proposed, from talking and hugging, to simply escaping from the battlefield, or agreeing to a draw.
It is worth noting that those who like to fight will also not be bored, as a unique combat system is provided. Fights are held according to the scrolling shooter system, where each step involves the possibility of avoiding the enemy's attacks. The game mechanics do not get boring, due to the fact that the rules of combat change in each of the battles.
In addition, the main difference between the project and the classic RPG game was the unpredictable development of the plot and the outcome of the game. The actions and chosen tactics of the gamer depend on what the ending will be, there can be many variations.
