The Surge 2

In the spring of 2018, a German studio called Deck13 Interactive teamed up with publisher Focus Home Interactive to unveil a stunning new action RPG called The Surge. It borrowed game mechanics from the Souls series from FromSoftware. This project has received rather poor reviews from critics, and the gamers have welcomed the update quite warmly. So the creators decided to make a sequel as well, which was announced in 2019.

In the new game part, the previous concept of the game is preserved: a rather complex combat system in which you need to demonstrate your attentiveness and accuracy, the ability to choose tactics, the choice of a part of the enemy's body that can be hit, a carefully developed system for improving the character. Yes, there are also some innovations in the game, but they are primarily related to the formation of new abilities and talents of the main character, new weapons, mods and drones, as well as rivals in the game, including leaders. In addition to all of the above, the game locations have changed - now your hero will travel through a destroyed and empty city. The levels have become larger, and the graphic design has become more colorful and bright.

As for the gameplay, it will be implemented in the format of a role-playing shooter. You'll get the chance to supervise a soldier scientist participating in multiple experiments. This research was aimed at creating special technological adaptations that should prevent the climatic collapse that is approaching our planet. However, as often happens, something unforeseen happened and scientists turned into terrible mutants. You must eliminate all such creatures and do everything possible to prevent a catastrophe. For killing mutants, you will be awarded game points, for which you can improve your abilities and skills. Thus.
