The events of the game Lazaretto unfold in a closed quarantine zone of the same name. It is here that those people who suffer from various disorders are brought, which make them dangerous to society. In fact, this is a collection of maniacs, psychopaths and madmen. The protagonist is brought to the Lazaretto zone by necessity. The thing is that some time ago he found his grandfather's notebook, which directly stated that a very powerful artifact was stored here, with the help of which you could become fabulously rich. Given the fact that the main character works in the police, he hopes that his skills will help him in this difficult matter.

As it turns out, Lazaretto is just a nightmare incarnate. As a result of the isolation and monstrous experiments that the military conducted, a variety of mutants and ghosts live on the island, hating anyone who comes to the island. To survive, the main character will have to do the most unthinkable, because literally everyone on this island wants him dead. But the main character is driven by a very strong feeling - a thirst for power and money, which can give a mysterious artifact, so he is ready to do anything to get it and will not stop at any danger. Will he be able to overcome all obstacles and achieve his goal?
