DayZ is a multiplayer "sandbox" and a survival game in a post-apocalyptic world developed by Bohemia Interactive. The game is a reworked version of the mod of the same name for Arma 2. The game takes place in the fictional post-Soviet country of Chernarus, where an unknown virus has turned most of the population into zombies. Survivors must fight for their lives and collect valuable resources.

The player's goal is to survive as long as possible by exploring various buildings and the corpses of other players, collecting weapons, ammunition, equipment, and resources. Players can form groups for defense and crafting. During the game, it is necessary to replenish supplies of water, food and medicine, monitoring health indicators, such as blood pressure, which decreases with bleeding, hunger and thirst.
The game map is 230 square kilometers in size and contains villages, cities, forests, and other points of interest, providing up to 60 players on a single server with the opportunity for tactical action. The game also features variable weather conditions that add variety to the gameplay. The developers of DayZ have included realistic weapons such as a rifle in the game "Lee-Enfield" and "Winchester 1866", as well as vehicles that can be used to move around the vast map, if you first repair them and find the necessary spare parts and gasoline.
