The computer game project Battle Realms was created in 2001, and immediately after its release, it instantly appealed to gamers, fans of such a genre as strategy. It featured a non-trivial setting, and had many unique features in the gameplay. If we consider the concept in general, then the game maintains a fantasy style characteristic of Ancient Japan. The gameplay does not provide for the construction of barracks and the creation of units in them. The task of the players is to conduct recruiting activities, and do everything necessary so that ordinary peasants become loyal fighters and protect the clan.

As for the clans, there are 2 of them: the Dragon and the Snake clan. The plot will not change much from which clan is chosen, as well as the main character Kenji. Gamers should conquer the world, using all available resources, among the main ones are rice and water. There are wells located on the territory of the base to extract water, but to get a supply of rice, you will need to make some effort. It is necessary to prepare the fields, water regularly, which will take a lot of time and effort of the acting characters.
In Battle Realms, in addition to the storyline, the developers have introduced several unique modes. By choosing the Survival mode, users will have to fight with the enemy, and make every effort to win. If you switch to Razing mode, then the main actions must be directed to destroying all the buildings of opponents and opponents. Kill the Keep involves destroying the enemy's fortress. And another, no less exciting mode, Famine, involves managing peasants, working to create water and rice reserves. During the passage, rice reserves are not replenished, but it is easier with water, it is still available for extraction.
