Battle Chasers Nightwar is a role-playing game that is being developed by former employees of Vigil Games, known for its Darksiders project. By the way, the artistic part is handled by Joe Madureir, the long-term author of the popular Battle Chasers comic book series, released in the arcanpunk genre.
Unlike many traditional American projects (and it is the American studio that works on the game), the gameplay of the game is developed in the Japanese style, with a turn-based combat system, classic Japanese animation, and so on.
The game begins with the choice of a hero, with three different characters at your disposal, each with their own unique skills. After that, you start with a small abandoned town where you can find equipment and weapons for yourself for the first time before you start your journey. Large-scale locations and dark labyrinths await you, where a lot of enemies and dangers lurk. All levels are randomly generated each time, which adds an element of surprise to the game.
