Aloft is a sandbox survival game where you have to live on islands floating around an eternal hurricane in the center of the map. Build your base and sail with the wind, discovering new locations and finding resources, technologies, and equipment upgrades, all while fighting fungal corruption.

Plot and gameplay
Learn more about your origins as you uncover the secrets of the ruins of a long-gone civilization and find answers to questions about their demise as you climb to the highest heights and overcome the challenges of a hurricane.
You have complete freedom when it comes time to create and build sails. The height and width of the masts can be adjusted, the sails can be rotated and extended, and the customizable designs allow you to move anchor points, inflate and deflate fabric, allowing you to create any jewelry imaginable.
Create buildings that will protect you from harsh winds or let the wind through, build bridges and ziplines to move quickly through your archipelago of floating lands, grow crops and animals by collecting water from passing clouds, install windmills that will automate your machines and gaze at beautiful landscapes. Jump off and fly freely on a glider while dancing with birds and clouds.
Some islands are spoiled by the dangerous force of nature in the form of fungal infection. Dangerous and colorful mushrooms grow on top of infected flora, and animals become victims of spoilage. Learn how to develop cures for different forms of fungi and cleanse them of filth. As you heal and liberate the ecosystem, gain access to previously unknown companion animals, livestock, crops, and resources.
